IBPS PO Notification 2021:

        IBPS PO Notification 2021: Every year the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) releases the IBPS PO Notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) in various Public sector banks. This year as well IBPS PO notification has been released in the daily newspapers on 19th October 2021 and the IBPS PO official notification can be released anytime on the IBPS official website The IBPS PO official notification is released in the newspaper (i.e. on 19th October 2021) and the candidates check the notice in the article below. The candidates will be selected through Prelims, Mains, and Interview round conducted by IBPS for the recruitment of the IBPS PO Exam.

IBPS PO Notification Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who wants to appear for the upcoming IBPS PO exam should check that they fulfill the criteria required. Also, consider the age relaxation provided for the IBPS PO examination. The changes in the notification of IBPS PO will be updated here.


The applicant for applying for the IBPS PO exam could be:

  • A Citizen of India
  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who is permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently.

Education Qualification

Applicants applying for IBPS PO 2021 should have the following educational qualification: An applicant possessing a graduate degree (such as BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech) from a recognized university. Please note that the degree or marks should be obtained on or before the date(to be issued). Also, candidates possessing degrees equivalent to the mentioned qualification are also eligible.

Knowledge of Computers- As the exams are now conducted online, candidates need to know the basic working of the computer.

Language Proficiency- Verbal and written knowledge of the state/ UT is desirable.

Age Limit

An applicant aiming for the IBPS PO examination should be between the age of 20 years but less than 30 years.

  • Both Prelims & Mains exam is an Online Computer Based Test
  • There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

IBPS PO Interview:

Consequently, candidates who have cleared the cutoff for the IBPS PO main examination are called for the Interview which is conducted by the Participating Organisations. Candidates will be called for the interview is 3 times the total vacancy announced by the board. The total marks for the Interview section are 100. The final merit list preparation is converted to 20 marks. Both the marks obtained in the mains exam and interview are considered for the final result.

IBPS PO 2021 Final Score Calculation:

  • The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates).
  • The weightage (ratio) of the Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
  • The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination of CRP- PO/MT-XI and Interview.
  • Interview scores of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.
  • A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment.
